The Yacht Club is easily the most love-ly of settings for a wedding. Classy and intimate, the Club sits a narrow swath of beautifully landscaped lawn on the Peace River. Our wedding, held in May, was out-of-the-box and we had the sense the staff felt the need to "get it" and couldn't, which could have deflated our vision if we weren't an older couple with strong (and creative) minds! However, during the reception, the manager took us aside to admit he couldn't envision our plans (we had, for starters, a "boat" for a head table and "storytoppers" on tables -- my inventions). Once everything was in place, though, the manager was floored, saying that he had taken pictures and so had some members of the club whom he had called to come over and see the spectacle for themselves. Also our guest list grew from an expected 80 guests to 118, so we needed the whole club. The club's rules dictated payment from 200 guests, so we had to negotiate on that, which proved expensive. Do it again? You bet. I still wake up every morning, beaming brighter than the morning sun. I turn to my new husband and say: "I so loved our wedding". Our guests write about the uniqueness of our wedding and plead they want to "do it again". However, it was truly the event of a lifetime and can not be duplicated!

Mr. Tom Foley and his entire staff were fantastic. Everyone was so professional. The wait staff never faltered in the service to my guests. Mr. Foley gave me all the attention that I needed in the planning for my wedding. In addition the value for the price was well worth more than what was charged. I recommend this site to everyone.

I actually only used The Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club for my reception. My fiance and I were wanting to get married elsewhere, but of course it was way over our budget! In Port Charlotte, there was no reception area that had caught my eye, until I remembered The Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club. It had beautiful surroundings. It was right on the water. Plenty of room inside with a beautiful view to see the sunset. And...the price was absolutely perfect for our budget. I would have never thought a place such as this would have such reasonable prices. Not only was the price unbelievable, but the professionalism was grand. They sat down to talk and review everything; show you the entire place while discussing what you wanted to do. They were very willing to work with us in what we had wanted to do in decorating the place. But most of all, their patience, especially with me, haha, really calmed me and kept me reassured. I had to change the date of the reception 2 times! I felt horrible and thought that they would eventually lose it with me, but they did not. In the end, everything turned out amazing. Not one of my guests complained. They had all enjoyed the services, as did I! Unforgettable!
