Karen is simply wonderful to work with...she is professional, caring and so sincere. Her cakes are incredible and flavours are amazing...in the end, after 2 hours of trying different cakes and fillings we opted for two different tiers..one was amaretto cake with white chocloate filling and the second one was a chocolate marble cake with a hazelnut and chocolate filling. They were both so lovely it was impossible to choose between them and on the day there was a lot of sharing going on and repeat visits to the cake station!! I would recommend Kakes By Karen without any hesitation...truly fabulous!

Kakes by Karen was amazing. Karen was so sweet and helpful. Not to mention all the cakes were absolutely delicious!!! She followed up several times to confirm flavor and decoration etc. And the cake came out wonderful! It was tasty and beautiful! I would recommend to anyone!!!

Karen did an amazing job with my cake. It was truly the cake of my dreams and I will cherish the memories of it forever. Everyone commented on it and thought it was beautiful. She made it a completely stress free day for me, and for that I am grateful to her. The cake was delivered to my wedding at the Pink Shell Resort and set up professionally. We were so pleased with Karen! Her cake was absolute heaven! Not only was it delcious, it was so beautiful we did not want to cut into it and ruin her piece of art. Karen was a dream come true. The cake was incredible (and I don't really even like cake), and she responded to all my emails/phone calls within the same day. Plus, she's such a genuinely nice and caring person, it just made the whole experience even greater!

Our bride had planned a very simple, yet elegant ceremony at Lover's Key in the gazebo with not a lot of frills. Karen's colorful and unique cake creation became the centerpiece of the wedding. Not only was the utmost attention paid to every detail of the cake, it also was one of the most delicious cakes ever tasted! Karen delivered the cake herself and waited for the rain to stop, she also waited for our party to arrive to meet us and offer her heartfelt blessings upon our bride and family. We are from out of town and Karen made it so easy and gave us the peace of mind that comes with knowing the job will be well done. I would 100% highly recommend Kakes by Karen if you are looking for a unique and out of the ordinary cake that is delicious and also if you are looking for top-notch service and communication. Karen, You went above and beyond for our wedding. We are not from Naples and had never met Karen face to face until we got into town for our wedding. Karen over nighted us samples of cakes to try before our wedding and we had such a hard time deciding:) Everyone of her cakes were amazing! So moist and just the perfect flavors. We ended up choosing the key lime cake with bavarian cream filling! It was the most amazing cake we have ever tasted! Our wedding cake was exactly what we wanted and dreamed of with beautiful green orchids cascading down this amazingly beautiful cake! We had a reception here in Dallas 1 week after we returned from naples. The top of our cake was made so well that we were able to use it again for our rection here and show off her fabulous work all the way in Dallas! I work in the wedding industry myself and I will be referring Karen to everyone I know! I was highly impressed by Karen Vasquez and her design of our wedding cake! I came in with absolutey no idea in mind of what I wanted and let Karen do all of the deign herself - and was completely surprised with the result - it was magnificent! Karen had outdone herself. The cake was absolutely impeccebale and amazing. She had decorated it based on one photo she had seen of my dress. Each flower that she had done was different on the cake - no two were alike! She tooki great pains to make our cake unique and original. And the taste! Oh my goodness...it was sooooo good! The fondit that she uses tastes so good and sweet - it is better than any other wedding cake I have had - very moist! Karen was amazing and I highly reccomend her to anyone that wants to complete their event or special occassion with something "high class"!Karen is a real "class act" and truly an amazing artist!

I have know Karen for a few years and have seen her cakes at many events. They never fail to disappoint me as they are always exactly what the people ordering wanted. For our wedding she made two beautiful cakes. Our main cake was let's say more of a "challenge", as the technique has not been used much and is very time consuming. When I walked into our reception room for a sneak preview, however, I almost cried at how beautiful it was!! I had never seen such a gorgeous cake and was truly amazed at what the final product looked like. Our groom's cake was a boat that my husband hopes to get one day. It was PERFECT!! Motor, gadgets, canopy, and all. Karen always goes above and beyond!! She is extremely talented and is highly recommended. She is very professional and extremely knowledgable about her profession. I look forward to working with her in the future!

Our wedding cake was amazing. I had found my dream cake from a picture in Elegant Bride and brought in and Karen was able to duplicate it for me. But it wasn't just that, it was her excitement in making the cake that was really special. The cake was delicous - so delicious in fact that I'm having a hard time waiting for our year anniversary to eat the top layer. It stares at me every time I open the freezer!

Karen's cakes are simply scrumptious! From the first time my husband and I met her, we knew we wanted her to bake our wedding cake. She is so passionate about what she does, and we loved that about her. When we went for our cake tasting (which I recommend you do) she explained everything on how she made the cakes, etc. We then sat down and tasted a bunch of flavors, fillings and frostings. I can't pick a favorite, they were all our favorites!! We had a cupcake wedding cake, so we got to have a few different flavors. Words can't describe how wonderful Karen's cakes are. All of her work is beautiful and impeccable! It seems that usually, if a cake designer decorates really well, the cakes don't taste very good, or vice versa...but not with Karen. I am completely confident in saying that her cakes are the most amazing you will ever taste and are also perfectly decorated. As if that wasn't good enough, Karen is one of the sweetest and most kind persons I know! We will most definitely be ordering every special occasion cake from her for the rest of our lives from anniversaries, to baby showers and birthdays!!

This was by far the easiest decision we had to make for our wedding. After meeting with Karen and trying the cakes we were hooked! We got married 2 months ago and have already ordered another cake! She by far was our favorite vendor.

Oh my gosh, the cake was amazing. I am proud to say Karen and I came up with a beautiful design and it made it on her website. She is a perfectionist and her love for baking and designing cakes really shows. She is truly talented at this. The cake made beautiful addition in the room and everyone raved about how beautiful and tasty it was.

Karen made our wedding cake for our destination wedding on 2008 she is the most professional and artistic woman for any occasion. She went above and beyond anything we could have ever expected from the tasting appointment we made to the wedding cake itself and then again for our anniversary cake we had her make for us the following year. First off, the cake is the best I've ever had! I wouldn't even consider myself a sweets-lover, but Karen's cakes are amazing- very moist and flavorful (and beautiful!). I chose the red velvet with bavarian cream filling and the vanilla with strawberry/raspberry filling, but I loved them all at my tasting. Second of all, Karen is extremely kind, thorough and professional. You really can't go wrong with getting your wedding cake from Kakes by Karen. I can't wait for my year anniversary to eat it again!
