j & a {makeup artistry}

I felt like a princess after Praveen did my hair and makeup for the wedding. I don't normally wear a lot of eyeshadow (or makeup in general), but I thought I wanted a smokey eye. I was nervous after the makeup trial with the smokey eye makeup, and I changed my mind about the eye shadow just days before the wedding. On the day-of, Praveen made my makeup look natural and beautiful, and my hair looked exactly how I wanted it to. I would definitely recommend J&A Makeup Artistry. I felt so beautiful on our big day. I am so pleased that I went with J & A makeup artistry for my destination wedding in Fort Myers Beach, FL. With having to plan my wedding from Michigan, most of my contact was through email and Janea was very quick to respond and so easy to work with. Janea had to be out of town the day of my wedding but I was so pleased to see that both she and Praveen showed up for my trial run.... they really care about customer service! Praveen did an amazing job on both myself and my 2 bridesmaids the day of the wedding. I would highly recommend their services to anyone! I would definitely give J&A Makeup Artistry a 5 out of 5+ rating for their services provided for my wedding in early October of this year 2011. Janea and Praveen did an excellent job on not only my updo and airbrush makeup but also on my girls (bridesmaids and moms). They took the time to listen to what each of us wanted and worked with us to create a work of art that looked absolutely fabulous! We had fun hanging out and listening to Janea's 80s mashup hits too. It helped me to destress and have some fun and laughs in the process. I would recommend them for any event at any time. Them coming to us at the hotel was also a plus and so convienent than trying to book/schedule a time slot at a hair salon. Janea and Elaina were amazing. They came to our hotel and were great in that they were so nice to work with, as well as just really nice people. Their work was absolutely gorgeous, and they created what ever looks we wanted. Such nice women and I valued their flexibility as well. What a wonderful experience.

The team did an amazing job. I had so much fun with the girls and they most def made you feel beautiful on your wedding day! Loved it!

These girls did an amazing job making me look my best on my wedding day! They were so nice and bubbly, really making it a joy to work with them. My wedding was april 16th 2011 and i had janea and amber do our hair and make-up for my wedding, They did an awsome job, they did our make-up and hair exactly the way i wanted it to look like.. Also janea was very flexable with her prices so i could stay around my budget for the wedding.. I would highly recommend Janea at J & A makeup artistry for all your beautician needs.I had a horrible experience with a different beautician vendor when planning my wedding. The minute I started contact with Janea she put all my worries behind me and I felt completely confident she would take care of my beauty needs on the wedding day.The trial run went fantastic. The wedding day the makeup lasted throughout the entire event without needing touch ups and I didn't have runny makeup from crying. I had started crying the minute I walked into the ceremony to go down the aisle and the makeup still lasted hours later! She really went above and beyond to take care of me and my bridesmaids that day!The prices were very reasonable as well and I will definitely be recommending Janea at J & A Makeup Artistry to all my girlfriends.

I love love love love Janea! I am beyond glad I chose them to be my beauticians! My trial run was done for my bachelorette party and it looked awesome and my whole bridal party was done on wedding day! Everyone looked gorgeous. The makeup lasted all day without needing touch ups and I didn't have runny makeup from crying. The prices were very reasonable as well and we were given lip gloss and eyelashes to keep! I even invited the girls to join us at the wedding because they are so much fun to be around. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I will use them anytime I need professional makeup in the future.

My make-up for both my trial and actual wedding was perfect! Couldn't ask for more! It last all day without touch-ups and even at the hotel afterwords. Going to be using her again in the future! And to think I was going to do airbrush make-up and spend 3 times as much! It's a good investment for looking back at pictures for years to come!
